The Life Of The Designer

Josh Krueger

I began designing websites in 2007 as volunteer work for my church. Along with designing the church website, I took a lot of interest in graphic design and multimedia. To better my skills, I began to do online classes, and still continue to do so to stay up to date with technology. This led to my growing business Plugged In Designs (formerly K&K Designs), which I officially started in February of 2009. My goal as a designer is to provide affordable and professional products. When you do business with us, you are not just a client, you are a friend.

I say hello, hello to all!

Wow! Where did January go? Things have been crazy here at Plugged In Designs, and crazy is good!!! We wanted to start this year by offering some new services and boy has it taken off. We are officially offering graphic design services now. We were not sure of how it would turn out, but wow it has went through the roof! We have already designed several logos, business cards, & t-shirts this month. It has gone really well. Business has grown and is still growing every day. Just wanted to give a little update on how things are going here. Now I have to get back to work!

I say hello, hello to all!

Well we have had a few clients call and ask about some redesign work on their site.

They wanted to start getting ready for the New Year and that is a good idea! The main client I want to put out there is First United Pentecostal Church of Sumter, South Carolina. They asked for a new look so we did some changes and they loved it!

We also added some new features to their site including a sermon player, which supports sermons in text, audio, and video! Also in this "redesign" we set them up a Facebook Fan page and Twitter and designed them to match their site.

Oh, with that on mind, I don't see how people can live with their website looking one way, their Facebook fan page another, and then their Twitter another! They are all for the same company or person right??? So why not have them flow!

Well if anyone out there wants to get ready for the New Year, let us know! We can give your site a fresh new look and feel!!

Til next time....

I say hello, hello to all!

Well we finally got the Azusa Streetriders website redisgned and upgraded. We added alot of new cool features. All of the members are so excited and thrilled! So of the features we added include: TapaTalk feature, (which allows forum posting on smartphones without being on the site) new blogging features, updated comminuty features, and alot more. You should check it out: http://azusastreetriders.com .  The thing about that site is it is never "finished", we are always making it bigger and better. That is what makes me happy, seeing members and site users happy and excited about their website. Makes all of the long hours and hard work worth it. Well I wonder what is next down the business road?.?.? We will see!

Until next time...

I say hello, hello to all!

Well, we opened the beta release of their new site. Everything is going really good. We have had a few "bad apples" in the ASR Beta Testers, but they have removed themselves! But anyway, the remaining beta testers have really helped get the "bugs" worked out. We are still working on their membership management feature. This is the major feature that the owner is really wanting. We should have something working for him soon! Websites are always easier to build/maintain when you get feedback from the owners/users! So saying that, if you have any suggestions or comments about Blurbbles, please post them in the forum, PM me, or shoot me an email!

I say hello, hello to all!!

We are currenly in the process of redsigning one of our biggest sites, Azusa StreetRiders. We were asked to come in and redesign this site about 3 years ago now. It was running on an outdated program. After about 6 months of designing we got it up! Boy did everyone love it!! We added alot of amazing features. This site is our special project! :)

Well, they are wanting us to redisgn again and add some more features! So yes, you know what I am about to say....alot of work and sleepless nights! Bring on the Starbucks and Mountain Dew!!! This time we have a selection of the members of the ASR that will be helping with shall I say "bug stomping". We are all really excited about the redesign and can't wait to see the results.

To kinda give you an idea of how big this site is....it has over 50 informational pages, photo gallery, video gallery, events calendar, blogging, online store, user points system, newsletter, discussion forum, prayer center, streaming sermons, awards program, and I can keep going!

Like I said the biggest site

I say hello, hello to all!

Well this is really my first blog, so to start off my name is Josh Krueger. I am the owner & lead designer of Plugged In Designs. I began designing websites in 2007 as volunteer work for my church. Along with designing the church website, I took a lot of interest in graphic design and multimedia.

To better my skills, I began to do online classes, and still continue to do so to stay up to date with technology. This led to my growing business Plugged In Designs, which I officially started in February of 2009. Currently we have about 20 website customers and we are still growing.

I don't know if you would really want to follow this blog or not, but I hope you will! I plan to show everyone that true web design is not just having fun setting in front of a computer. Don't get me wrong, I really enjoy web design!!! But there are the times you work so much you feel like your brain is about to explode!
